General Qualifications
Must have Active Secret Security Clearance
3+ years of Network Technician experience
**Experience with Cisco DNA Center, BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF highly desired.
Must possess a DoD 8570 IAT-II or higher certification
DoD and/or Air Force experience preferred
High level of integrity and accountability
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Experience with Copper and Fiber Optic building installation and termination of fiber and copper patch cords
Education
High school diploma (or equivalency)

CompTIA Security+
CompTIA CySA+
Certified Network Defender (CND)
GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)
Desired Certificate(s):
Cisco Certified Network Associate-Security (CCNA-Security)

Knowledge
Knowledge of Cisco IOS and affiliated hardware
Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies
Knowledge of evolving IT environments and cybersecurity threats
Skills
Skill in effective communication at multiple levels and able to grasp system concepts and communicate their applications.
Skill in establishing a routing schema.
Skill in protecting a network against malware. (e.g., NIPS, anti-malware, restrict/prevent external devices, spam filters).
Skill in configuring and utilizing network protection components (e.g., Firewalls, VPNs, network intrusion detection systems).
