SteelGate LLC is hiring a full-time Systems Administrator/VMWare Professional to join our team. In this role you will be supporting the US Army Reserves. The US Army Reserves manages all C4IM missions and C4IM Service and Support for the Pacific. The US Army Reserves provides direct C4IM support to the Headquarters and staff elements, Direct Reporting Units (DRU) on network functions pertaining to Operations and Plans, Network Operations, and Unified Communications. Strategic, tactical, and base sustaining C4IM support during peacetime and contingent operations are executed in support of all USAR units in the Pacific. The US Army Reserve provides mission command sustainment through the Pacific LandWarNet (PLWN) for assigned and attached USAR units and personnel as a Direct Reporting Unit (DRU) and senior USAR Headquarters to the Commander and US Army Pacific (USARPAC). Any loss of access to the PLWN or its critical applications and services will severely degrade operations and missions in support of the US Army Reserve Mission throughout the Pacific Theater of Operations (PTO).
Required Skills:
• Virtualization: Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware, and knowledge of virtualization management tools and techniques.
• Networking: Strong understanding of networking concepts, including routing, switching, and network security.
• Storage: Knowledge of storage technologies, including SAN, iSCSI, NAS etc, and experience working with storage management tools.
• Disaster Recovery: Knowledge of disaster recovery best practices and experience with recovery operations
• Extensive working knowledge of Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) implementation
• Experience with Linux, fiber channel (Brocade, Cisco, etc.), and Database administration (SQL)
Required Qualifications:
• 6+ years of experience in server installation configuration and management of enterprise servers (Windows, Unix, SQL, etc.)
• Minimum DoD 8570 IAT Level II Compliance: Security + with VCP and MCSE and CCNA Certifications
• Must possess and maintain Secret clearance.
• 5+ years of experience in server virtualization technologies (ESX, ESXi, VSphere, etc.).
