About the Role:
BAE Systems is looking for a proven leader to oversee an IT Infrastructure Engineering team supporting a large federal government customer. In this role, you'll lead a team responsible for designing, integrating, and maintaining a wide range of systems-including servers (physical and virtual), storage solutions, cloud infrastructure, networking equipment, workstations, and more.
We're seeking someone who not only understands enterprise-level IT environments but knows how to lead a team, manage projects, and partner closely with senior government stakeholders to drive outcomes.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $130355 - $221603
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers supporting enterprise IT operations.
- Oversee end-to-end project planning, from scoping and task management to scheduling and cost tracking.
- Manage daily infrastructure operations-both on-prem and cloud-including updates, patching, and system improvements.
- Collaborate with government IT leaders to align technical efforts with mission objectives.
- Ensure infrastructure and applications meet performance, security, and compliance standards.
- Lead integration efforts across systems, databases, APIs, and applications to support data flow and reporting.
- Own change management processes and lead continuous service improvement initiatives.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and systems engineering.
- 3+ years of experience leading engineering or operations teams.
- Strong background in environments using VMware, SAN/DA systems, Windows OS, SQL/Oracle, and Office apps.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS) and supporting enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with MS Project or similar tools.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- PMP Certification
- Experience managing cloud-based infrastructure (AWS preferred)
- Familiarity with Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence)
- Experience managing teams supporting enterprise databases (SQL and/or Oracle)
