SAIC is currently seeking 2 Network Administrator II to support the Aviation Combined Arms Tactical Trainer ( AVCATT) in Fort Wainwright, Alaska.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides ongoing network support, addresses availability issues, overcomes performance problems
- Installs, maintains, and coordinates the use of network systems
- Manages network performance, diagnoses performance problems, and undertakes tuning activities to ensure network performance meets SLA requirements
- Troubleshoots and resolves problems to ensure quality transmission service on the network
- Reports on overall network performance including frequent problems, underlying issues and plans to improve network availability, performance, and problem resolution
- Trains users, maintains, creates, and deletes user accounts
- Maintains and updates system security plans on all platforms
- Implements and coordinates network policies, procedures, and standards
- Enforces network security policies and procedures. Supports integration of tactical rotational networks such as JNN; JNTC; MCS; JTEN
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor of Science degree and one (1) or more years of experience; Additional six (6) years' experience accepted in lieu of degree
Required Clearance:
- Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance; US Citizenship required
Required Skills:
- Experience providing ongoing network support, addressing availability issues, and overcoming performance problems
- Skilled in installing, maintaining, and coordinating the use of network systems
- Experience managing network performance, diagnosing performance problems, and undertaking tuning activities to ensure network performance meets SLA requirements
- Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving problems to ensure quality transmission service on the network
- Experience reporting on overall network performance including frequent problems, underlying issues, and plans to improve network availability, performance, and problem resolution
- Experience training users, maintaining, creating, and deleting user accounts
- Skilled in maintaining and updating system security plans on all platforms
- Experience implementing and coordinating network policies, procedures, and standards
- Experience enforcing network security policies and procedures. Supports integration of tactical rotational networks such as JNN, JNTC, MCS, JTEN
