• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Job Description:
The company's Broadband Communications Systems Sector is seeking a cost accountant based at our Salt Lake City, UT location. This role has responsibility for various Program Cost Accounting functions which primarily include project cost analysis, accounting for inventory, and supporting internal and external audits, among other responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and analytical skills, combined with a strong technical accounting background.

Essential Functions:

• Perform journal entries, general ledger account analysis and reconciliations.
• Strong internal control focus, including updating control documentation, supporting internal and external audits.
• Working with segment and corporate controls groups to update auditboard for control descriptions, attributes and potential enhancements to the control environment
• Partner with various areas of the business to understand their processes and assist with guidance on internal & external audit requests
• Assist with the improvement of inventory reporting, including cost analysis at the material part level, labor and recalculation of G&A and overhead.
• Actively seek opportunities to streamline assigned processes and cross-train with peers.
• Assist in project management activities and ad hoc analysis as required.
