Financial Management Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Management Analyst to support critical operations for the SSC Enterprise Space Activity Group. This role provides essential assistance in budgeting, accounting resolution, audit preparation, and funding process execution within a Working Capital Fund (WCF) environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of federal financial systems and policies, and the ability to support financial compliance, tracking, and analysis in support of mission-critical defense programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of budget proposals, financial plans, and associated documentation to support mission and operational requirements.
• Support resolution of financial discrepancies including unreconciled transactions, payment issues, and unliquidated obligations (ULOs).
• Utilize USSF financial systems to prepare, validate, and track funding packages and ensure accurate documentation processing.
• Perform cost-benefit analyses to support leadership decisions and acquisition planning.
• Assist in preparing for audits and inspections by internal and external regulatory authorities by compiling necessary documentation and analysis.
• Maintain and reconcile financial records in accordance with DoD and WCF accounting standards.
• Collaborate with program, contracting, and budget personnel to ensure funding accuracy and compliance.

• 7+ years of financial management experience in a Working Capital Fund (WCF) environment,
  OR 5+ years of experience with one of the following certifications:
  
  • Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM)
  • Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM)
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Solid understanding of DoD financial processes, accounting operations, and federal budget execution.
• Experience identifying and resolving transactional issues and supporting funding validation processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with DoD financial and accounting systems.
• Active Secret Clearance required.

Location: Space Coast, FL (Preferred) or National Capital Region (NCR)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting USSF or DoD financial operations.
• Familiarity with WCF budget formulation and execution policies.
• Experience in accounting operations management and audit readiness.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
