Job Title: Cloud Sys Admin

Responsibilities of the Cloud Sys Admin:
EDC Consulting LLC (EDC) is seeking a full-time Cloud Sys Admin to support the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) in the AWS GovCon cloud. This role focuses on deploying and managing customer data in IL4/IL5 cloud environments while ensuring DoD compliance.

The Cloud Sys Admin will:

• Configure and deploy a CUI-compliant AWS GovCloud environment for customer algorithm and sensitive model coefficients.
• Establish secure data transfer mechanisms between an existing IL2 AWS environment and AWS GovCloud.
• Implement security controls for CUI data in alignment with CMMC requirements.
• Configure secure output transfer from GovCloud to designated IL2 environments.
• Continuously monitor and maintain the GovCloud environment.
• Perform security assessments, documentation, and compliance checks for CMMC/IL4/IL5 standards.
• Coordinate with the customers to ensure seamless integration between preprocessing pipelines and GovCloud.
• Provide technical support, incident response, and troubleshooting for the GovCloud environment.
• Support secure decommissioning of the environment post-exercise (if required).
• Advise on physical/logical separation requirements and DoD baseline security protocols.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or 5+ years of equivalent experience).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience deploying/managing AWS GovCloud environments.
• Proven expertise in IL4/IL5 compliance, CMMC, and DoD security frameworks.
• Experience configuring secure data transfer mechanisms (e.g., AWS PrivateLink, VPN).
• Strong understanding of cloud monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Splunk).
• Ability to document system architectures, security controls, and compliance processes.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration with Philips and DoD stakeholders.
• Preferred: AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Security Specialty, or similar certifications.
• Preferred: Reside within 50 miles of EDC's headquarters in Vienna, VA
