Our client has an opening for a Jr Financial Analyst to provide budgeting/accounting/process improvement expertise for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The right candidate will have at least 1 year of financial management/accounting experience. Must be a US Citizen. This role is remote.
Desired Skills & Experience:
• US Citizen; Preferred to already have a DHS clearance/background check;
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Finance/Accounting;
• 1+ years of Accounting and Financial experience;
• Familiar with budgeting, process improvement, and internal controls;
• Outstanding organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Support the entire Federal budget process from formulation, to spend plan creation, contract closeout, and executing the current fiscal year budget;
• Evaluate business processes and make recommendations to improve efficiency;
• Assist in strengthening internal controls;
• Documenting current standard operating procedures (SOPs);
• Conduct gap analysis to identify inefficiencies;
• Identify key performance metrics.
