Senior Air-Surface Operations Analyst

Exercise GREEN FLAG provides a training venue for joint United States and coalition aircrew, air liaison officers, joint terminal attack controllers (JTACs), battle management personnel and weapons system operators in the planning and execution of joint air ground operations in counter-land operations. R&K provides subject matter expertise (SME) necessary to support GREEN FLAG tactical exercises.

Start Date: 1 July 2025 (Contingent Upon Award)
Duties: The successful candidate shall:
Provide management and oversite of the Green Flag Support Element (GFSE) Air-Surface Operations Analysts during GREEN FLAG exercises.
Provide Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) subject matter expertise support to the Green Flag Support Element at Nellis AFB, NV as part of the 57 OG.
Support the team with air surface expertise specifically focused on Close Air Support (CAS) operations during training events, to include: provide real-time mission data collection and analysis while assessing compliance with JP 3-09.3, JFIRE, airspace restrictions, and basic safety of flight issues; collect, collate, and prepare instrumented, analyzed post-battle information for use in aircrew debrief; develop and publish the daily exercise Air Tasking Order; develop and publish the exercise Weekly Special Instructions; process pre-planned DD Form 1972 Tactical Air Strike Requests (JTASR); manage/update GFW Database with current exercise participant content; track active restricted operating zones; compile, consolidate, format exercise data for publication of draft after action report.

Requirements: The candidate shall meet the following qualifications:
- A minimum of ten (10) years experience as a Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC), USAF Air Liaison Officer (ALO), or USMC Air Officer (AO)
- Experience controlling attack aviation in military operations
Or
Experience as a rated officer liaising with ground elements and integrating air operations into military operations
- Tactical aviation experience in CAS
- Operations analysis with experience working CAS
- Experience processing JTASRs
- Ability to multi-task, and work within a team construct.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Teams).
- Secret Clearance Required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Air Support Operations Center (ASOC) or similar C2 node
- USAF ALO or USMC AO Experience
- Completed Joint Firepower Course
- Proficient with Microsoft Visual Basic (VBA)
