Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain QA procedures and policies for both hardware and software, ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards.
- Conduct internal audits and support external audits to verify adherence to AS9100 and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including design, development, and manufacturing-to identify quality risks and mitigate issues throughout the product lifecycle.
- Create and execute test strategies and plans covering both hardware and software components.
- Analyze test results, identify discrepancies, and work with engineering teams to resolve defects.
- Perform internal quality audits as per audit schedule and document corrective actions and opportunities for improvement; participate in QA management review process
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability for all QA activities per AS9100 protocol.
- Lead root cause analysis and drive corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality incidents relating to software, hardware, or system integration.
- Provide training and support to colleagues regarding AS9100 compliance and continuous improvement best practices.
- Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
- Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
- Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
- Ability to obtain Secret Clearance. U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of related work experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of combined QA experience in hardware and software environments, ideally within aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries.
- Proven expertise in AS9100 quality management systems and audit processes.
- Familiarity with both hardware verification/validation and software testing methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis and process improvement. Strong technical writing and documentation skills. Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance.
