Position Description:
We are seeking a skilled Databricks Framework Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building reusable frameworks to abstract data engineering and data integration patterns. These frameworks will be designed for use by less experienced data engineers and developers, ensuring efficient and scalable data processing solutions.
This role is located in either Miramar, FL or Dallas, TX. A hybrid working model in these locations is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Framework Development: Design, develop, and maintain reusable frameworks for data transformation, ingestion, and integration using Databricks.
Data Ingestion: Create frameworks to ingest data from various sources such as S3 and JSON, and load it into specific targets using configuration-based approaches.
Data Transformation: Develop transformation frameworks to process and clean data, ensuring it meets business requirements.
API Development: Build APIs on top of data sources to enable consumption by other systems without the need for Databricks pipelines.
Streaming Integration: Implement frameworks for real-time data processing using Kafka, from topic to target.
Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, architects, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Best Practices: Establish and promote best practices for data engineering, including code quality, testing, and documentation.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to less experienced data engineers and developers, helping them leverage the frameworks effectively.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Proficiency in Databricks, Apache Spark, and related big data technologies.
Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Knowledge of data ingestion and transformation techniques.
Familiarity with API development and integration.
Experience with streaming technologies like Kafka.
Framework Development: Proven experience in building reusable frameworks for data engineering and integration.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to document processes and frameworks clearly for future reference. Timeliness, accuracy, and professionalism
Mentorship: Ability to mentor and guide less experienced team members.
Soft Skills: Self-starter and capable of working without close supervision.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $99,200.00 - $173,500.00.
