Position Description
Serco is seeking a Staff Flight Simulation Trainer to support the Air Force Modeling and Simulation Support Services (AFMS3) program in Orlando, FL. This role is responsible for developing and delivering high-impact simulation-based flight training, ensuring compliance with federal and defense training standards, and contributing to the advancement of aircrew proficiency through dynamic simulation environments.

Serco is seeking a Staff Flight Simulation Trainer to support the Air Force Modeling and Simulation Support Services (AFMS3) program in Orlando, FL. This role is responsible for developing and delivering high-impact simulation-based flight training, ensuring compliance with federal and defense training standards, and contributing to the advancement of aircrew proficiency through dynamic simulation environments.
In this role, you will:
- Design and develop training curriculum, study guides, and orientation materials for flight procedures and simulation sessions.
- Conduct simulator-based instructional sessions, briefings, proficiency evaluations, and debriefs.
- Evaluate trainee performance and recommend qualifications or additional training as needed.
- Assess and provide feedback on simulator design and instructional effectiveness to optimize training outcomes.
- Coordinate scheduling for flight crew training and ensure the availability of necessary technical and engineering support.
- Leverage your piloting experience to enhance scenario realism and training fidelity.
Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in a technical or aviation field with 12 years of experience, OR Master's degree with 10 years of experience, OR 16 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience in flight scenario development and flight simulation system operation.
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Strong background in piloting and simulation-based training delivery.
- Ability to evaluate and adapt training systems to enhance instructional value.
- Proven experience in supporting military or civil aviation training programs.
Additional desired experience and skills:
- Prior military aviation experience or flight instructor certification.
- Familiarity with Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training environments.
