Position Description

Serco is seeking a Military Training Manager 2 - Site Manager to lead operations at Gowen Field in Boise, Idaho, supporting the Army National Guard (ARNG) Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP). In this role, you will oversee daily site operations, ensuring the performance of both Serco and subcontractor personnel while managing all aspects of training execution, logistics, and personnel oversight.

This position is contingent upon contract award, budget, and customer approval.

In this role, you will:
  • Manage site operations and oversee performance of Serco and subcontractor staff.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical requirements with the Mission Training Complex (MTC) Director.
  • Coordinate regional scheduling, resource management, logistics, training, and continuing education.
  • Exercise corporate decision-making authority on all matters related to daily operations at the site.
  • Ensure availability during standard business hours and remain on-call during extended/24-hour operations.
  • Collaborate with the Task Order (TO) Manager and MTC Director to support technical and training missions.
  • Supervise contractor personnel and ensure compliance with performance objectives and deliverables.


Qualifications

Qualifications

One of the following education and experience combinations:
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of supervisory experience; or
  • Master's degree with at least 8 years of supervisory experience.

Experience must include:
  • Military training and support operations.
  • Logistics and property management.
  • Division-level or higher operational and training requirements.
  • Army training management and MCTSP experience.
  • Prior service as a battalion or brigade commander, or S3 operations staff officer.
  • Graduate of CGSC or equivalent (ILE/MEL 4, Senior Service College).
  • Active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to work on-site at Gowen Field and travel up to 25% of the time.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Leadership experience managing site-based military training support.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and operational areas.
  • Deep understanding of Army operational and training protocols.

Additional desired experience and skills:
  • Master's degree in Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting operations within an Army MTC.
