Position Description
Join Serco as an SCA Alarm Monitor at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), where you will provide physical security and access control at the Mission Training Complex (MTC). In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of restricted areas through monitoring, access management, and response coordination. Your work directly contributes to the safety and operational continuity of critical defense training infrastructure. This position is contingent upon contract award, budget, and customer approval.

In this role, you will:
- Provide physical security and manage personnel access to restricted areas and facilities.
- Monitor alarm systems and CCTV, and maintain automated and manual logs and databases.
- Implement and operate access control systems and ensure compliance with applicable procedures and policies.
- Receive and direct emergency personnel as needed.
- Develop improvements to access control security processes to mitigate threats and enhance protection.
- Prevent unauthorized access and safeguard against espionage, theft, and damage.
- Greet and register visitors, verify authorization, and issue visitor security badges.
- Maintain visitor logs and track all issued security badges.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of experience in physical security or access control.
- Active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.
- Ability to gain and maintain a Defense Information Security System (DISS) account.
- Experience with alarms, CCTV, and automated security systems.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Must be able to work on-site at JBLM in Washington.
- Willing to travel up to 10% of the time.
