Position Description

Serco is seeking a Manager, Business Management 2 to support the Immersive Mission Solutions (IMS) program. Based in Orlando, FL, this role will lead the business management team and drive financial strategy, planning, and operational excellence across a dynamic program portfolio.

As a key business partner to Program Managers, you will be responsible for long-range strategic planning, annual operating plans, proposal development, financial control, pricing, contracts, and more. You will lead a team and ensure adherence to compliance, quality standards, and company policies, while also fostering a culture of engagement, value creation, and continuous improvement.

In this role, you will:
  • Oversee business operations within a diverse and dynamic program portfolio.
  • Lead a team in performing contracts, pricing, program planning, financial control, rate management, and scheduling.
  • Supervise daily team operations, assign priorities, and mentor staff.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and deliver timely, quality data and reports.
  • Collaborate on proposal development, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
  • Develop and manage Annual Operating Plans (AOP) and Long-Range Strategic Plans (LRSP).
  • Conduct cost and schedule risk assessments to support mitigation planning.
  • Prepare or review EACs and integrated master schedules.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and variance analysis.
  • Consolidate and analyze program and corporate financial forecasts.
  • Prepare and monitor cash flow models and support internal and external reviews.


Qualifications

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with 8+ years of experience; or Master's degree with 6+ years of experience. (An additional 12 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.)
  • Proficient in financial planning and analysis, accounting, and forecasting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including pivot tables, PowerPivot, vlookups/xlookups, formulas, and charts).
  • At least 1 year of management experience with demonstrated team leadership and talent development.
  • Experience in program budgeting, forecasting, and AOP development.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.

  • Proven leadership in managing financial operations across complex programs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Capability to build and lead high-performing business teams.

Additional desired experience and skills:
  • Experience with SAP and MS Project.
  • Understanding of DoD financial models, contracts, and FAR.
  • Earned Value Management experience with tools such as MPM or Cobra.
  • Active Secret clearance.
