Job Summary
A Database Developer is part of a team that creates database code using a variety of tools. Database developers are expected to be proficient in core database development principles and methodologies. They must be able to break requirements down into appropriately sized packages, procedures or functions that are consistent with the established enterprise architecture. Database developers are also able to quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues and make recommendations to improve performance and reliability. They are also able to review requirements and estimate accurate development hours and schedule costs.
As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these are, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), and staying focused on the assigned tasks including company meetings, and completing other tasks as assigned.

Participate in the SAFe Agile Scrum team environment with a focus on planning and
delivering changes iteratively
Review requirements and develop accurate estimates
Assist with schema design, code review, SQL query tuning
Upgrade and improve application schemas and data upgrades
Process work accurately and in a timely manner
Work independently or in teams with minimal supervision
Effectively communicate with customers and other team members
Takes ownership of system and software to ensure minimal defects
Help troubleshoot and resolve production issues
Perform other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
US Citizenship
Must have an active DOD Secret Clearance
Must have Level 1 or higher IAT Certification (A+ CE, Security+, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, SSCP)
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Information Systems, Computer Science, or another related field
Demonstrated proficiency in Database languages including Oracle SQL, MS SQL, and PL/SQL script development
Demonstrated proficiency in writing database code and queries and participate in code reviews
Demonstrated proficiency to develop stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers, policies for databases (e.g.in Oracle 19c)
Demonstrated proficiency in creating tables, views, indexes, triggers, types, packages, and other database objects as needed
