The Visitor Registration Specialist is responsible for, but not limited to, the issuance of ARC temporary passes, NASA Badge transactions, Center specific badges and credentials; and Fingerprinting.
Responsibilities
- Badge and Access Credential Management:
- Use systems like Common Badging and Access Control System (CBACS), LENEL™, Integrated Security Information System (ISIS), Employee Check-In, Employee Check-Out, and Visitor Request to issue and record badges and access credentials for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Foreign National (FN) Processing:
- Act as the Assistant International Visitor Coordinator (IVC) at ARC, requiring a Secret personnel security clearance.
- Coordinate with Center Foreign National Access Management (FNAM) requestors and sponsors to process FN access requests for onsite, remote, and offsite visitors, as well as Center to Center visit requests.
- Access Request Processing:
- Process access requests through the NASA IdMAX system.
- Review FN visitor access control plans to ensure compliance with NASA regulations, FNAM policy, and Department of State and Homeland Security regulations.
- Database Checks:
- Complete checks through Visual Compliance, Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE), NCIC, Federal Bureau of Investigations File, National Criminal History Check (NCHC), and ARC Counterintelligence Office.
- Approval and Notification:
- Review FN access requests for accuracy.
- Forward requests to the ARC Export Control Office for non-designated country FN visitors and to the HQ NASA Office of International and Interagency Relations (OIIR) for designated country FN visitors.
- Transmit final approval in the NASA IdMAX system and notify the FN visit host upon receiving approval.
- Training and SOP Updates:
- Conduct and develop training for FN Access Management Requestors and Sponsors.
- Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed.
Other:
- Provide organizational services by answering the office telephone, receiving/greeting visitors at secure doors, review correspondence.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of security, administrative, secretarial and/or badging experience
- Must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance, but not required to start.
- All Identity Credential and Access Management (ICAM) related training required prior to appointment.
- NASA LENEL Identity Management System training prior to appointment
- IdMAX System training prior to appointment.
