General Function:
- Provide hardware and software engineering support for embedded systems, cryptographic systems, and interoperability in sensor, weapon, host platform, and C2 systems.
- Support software analysis, performance assessment, and interfacing with COTS and GOTS components.
- Conduct software architecture reviews and evaluate software development processes and configuration management tools.
- Contribute to software testing systems and capability development.
- Apply software engineering knowledge to support design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of software systems.
- Assist in systems acquisition, hardware/software integration, and systems requirements analysis and allocation.
- Support evaluation and testing at systems and subsystems levels.
- Help develop, review, and update software engineering program documentation.
- Support the creation of software development strategies and software development plans (SDPs).
- Apply understanding of aeronautical vehicle systems and avionics Operational Flight Program (OFP) capabilities to software engineering tasks.
- Recognized as highly skilled with advanced knowledge and experience in their technical/professional field, with the ability to apply relevant standards, procedures, and practices.
- Oversees and guides junior and journeyman personnel, providing expert support across Program Office, Enterprise, and Staff-level interfaces.
Qualifications:
Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:
- MA/MS Degree with 10 years of directly related experience or BA/BS with 12 years of directly related experience or 15 years of directly related experience to this discipline.
- Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the Secret Level.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications and other standard applications.
