Introduction
Veterans Benefits Administration's Pension Optimization Initiative (POI) project is a transformative initiative that will convert an existing manual business process into a managed automated solution whereby 100% of all the submitted Pension and Survivor claims within scope are evaluated through automation

Your role and responsibilities
The roles and responsibilities will consist of conducting functional tests, client claims, and regression tests. In this role, you will use BWL requirements flows to create test in Jira and identify data needs. Testing will be carried out in the client system, with results documented in Jira and Slack. You must able to identify and troubleshoot defects found. POI works closely with a client test team to ensure IBM findings are 100% accurate. You will track all open issue and question identified by the client.
Overall duties will consist of creating test, creating/identifying test data for the upcoming release, running client claim, reporting out results to client, creating/tracking bugs, and following up on all questions from the client.

- Familiarity with cognitive, automation, and related emerging technologies and techniques.
- Broad-based general technology ecosystem and industry understanding
- Ability to understand and communicate results of testing
Nice to have skills:
- Familiarity with RPA, AI and OCR
- Experience with Public Sector Clients (US Federal, Higher Education, State and Local Governments)
- General knowledge and experience with leading automation software products

- Proficient in issue tracking and resolution.
- Expert in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Capable of working with technical documents.

- Flexible Schedule and Adaptability, Willing to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance from the U.S. Federal government (This is performed when awarded the position)
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs or other US Federal Government Agencies.
- Proficiency in Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Optical Character Recognition (OCR).
- Understanding of cognitive, automation, and emerging technologies; broad tech ecosystem knowledge; ability to interpret and convey test results.
