Job Description
In support of Network/Cyberspace Operations mission, perform tasks to provide Provisional Enterprise Data Center (PEDC) with facility management services and touch maintenance services for all servers and equipment managed by 690 COG organizations at the PEDC locations.
- Assists with the daily administration of a network/server environment.
- Monitors network performance and performs testing to provide diagnosis of issues and to assist with deployment of solutions.
- Installs upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.
- Supports and enforces a disaster recovery, security and back up and restore plan.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive maintenance, cable management, emergency shutdown/recovery, and physical security of servers, server environments and storage area networks.
- Conduct daily walk-throughs of data centers.
- Maintain physical infrastructure to include all equipment housed in data centers.
- Respond to alarms (e.g., temperature & water) and take appropriate action to mitigate alarm conditions according to Government guidance.
- Maintain local equipment accounts and function as equipment custodian IAW DoD and AF standards, policy, and guidance.
- Develop, update, and maintain an inventory list and data facility diagrams to include building, floor, room, rack, row, rack units, power requirements, thermal load, work center ownership, owning organization.
- Update change requests and incident tickets in EITSM with status and resolution information.
- Coordinate unscheduled outages, ASI, maintenance activities, and restoration actions with the NOSs, COSs, and other PEDC s according to established procedures.
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and 0 - 2 years of related experience
Certifications
- Required

- IAT II - CySA+, or Security+ (or equivalent), or higher
- Comptia Net+ or CISCO Certified Support Technician (CCST) Networking (within 180 days of start)

- IAT II = CySA+, Security+, CCNA - Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP or higher
- This is a 24/7/365 mission and extended hours/days may be required. Be physically at PEDC during core hours Monday through Friday, and when assigned provide on-call support during off hours.
