ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Transportation Manager to join our vehicle sustainment team in Waldmohr, Germany
The selected candidate will provide maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.
*Important Note*: Selected candidates require f avorable completion and receipt of Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA) from the German Lander. TESA Approval Organization. Any stated date is an approximate projection based upon the eleven (11) week TESA review cycle.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provides leadership and management for all assigned logistics and supply clerks.
- Plans, organizes, and supervises the preparation and execution of the movement and distribution operations. Coordinates deployment and distribution actions with multinational, Joint, Army, and commercial agencies through the Joint Logistics Enterprise.
- Functions as technical expert and monitors personnel who receive, evaluate and process customer requisitions and/or reports for assigned programs, equipment, and systems.
- Controls and manages the requisition processes, theater stock assets, repair program candidate items, and other special programs as required.
- Reviews Global Combat Support System (GCSS) generated requisitions received from customers for correctness and completeness. Compares the requested quantities with authorizations and quantities on hand. Validates the requirements and determines the most economical and effective source of supply (theater stock, national inventory, commercial vendor, etc.) through assessment of current theater and Army distribution policy, equipment familiarization, and the application of sound judgment.
- Processes GCSS generated requisitions in system and thus provides for fill and completion of the action and will perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10+ years of qualified experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field (OR) 14+ years of qualified experience and a trade school certification or associate degree in a related field (OR) 16+ years of experience.
- A minimum of three (3) years' experience managing supply and logistics at Echelons Above Brigade (EAB) level.
- A minimum of three (3) years' experience managing inventory, requisitioning supplies, and maintaining stock of supplies and equipment in GCSS.
- Experience in operating material, handling equipment, recording, maintaining, and initiating work order documentation for acquisition of component items from commercial sources and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)
- Experience in training, managing and supervising personnel within a supply support activity or warehouse concerning supply systems policy and functional procedures.
- Experience in shipping and receiving parts and equipment. Experience in AE, AK, and EU custom clearance process. Familiar with Army Logistics Information System (LIS).
- Experience in warehouse and supply support activity management, office productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to generate and create reports using PowerBI.
- Position requires moderate to lengthy travel to various US or OCONUS locations, must be able to meet all government Individual Replacement Deployment Operations (IRDO) requirements for foreign travel into operational locations.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED and possess a Valid Driver's License for the location in which the work will be performed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the management of the requisition, receipt, storage, retrograde, and distribution of supplies and equipment at supply support activities in accordance with established policies and regulation.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be a US citizen and have a current/active Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
- Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
- Must be able to work in high noise areas.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
- Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
