Senior Systems Engineer (SETA)
Location: Chantilly, VA
Clearance Required: Active Top Secret Clearance w/CI Poly
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Engineer with a strong background in IT enterprise planning, portfolio management, and systems integration within the Intelligence Community. This individual will conduct engineering related duties that aid in advancing space reconnaissance systems and intelligence-related activities for national security. The ideal candidate should understand the government acquisition lifecycle, including major phases, milestones and delivery products.
Key Responsibilities
•\tSupport program managers in the modernization of future ground enterprise systems, ensuring alignment with mission requirements.
•\tProvide acquisition and technical expertise to advance SIGINT ground capabilities across key mission areas.
•\tLead IT infrastructure planning, coordinating requirements across Planning & Scheduling, Assessment & Traceability, and Processing.
•\tDrive cross-directorate and cross-agency collaboration to improve stakeholder communication and leverage efficiencies.
•\tIdentify, monitor, and mitigate risks related to ground architecture, ensuring program managers make informed decisions.
•\tLead multi-directorate engineering teams to address transport, hosting, and computing requirements for multi-billion-dollar acquisitions.
•\tEnsure alignment between requirements and enterprise capability documents
•\tProvide effective problem solving to drive effective cross-organizational agreements and rapid POAMs to address critical challenges.
Required Qualifications:
•\tBachelors Degree in a Technical Field, Business Administration or relevant field
•\t12+ years of extensive experience in systems engineering, IT infrastructure planning, and ground enterprise modernization.
•\tStrong expertise in SIGINT ground capabilities and mission system acquisitions.
•\tDemonstrated ability to lead multi-directorate engineering teams and drive collaboration across government entities.
•\tProficiency in risk management, requirements analysis, and stakeholder communication.
•\tAbility to translate mission needs into structured engineering and acquisition solutions.
