Cloud IdAM Engineer

Are you passionate about securing modern cloud environments and building identity solutions? We're looking for a Cloud IdAM Engineer who thrives in agile environments and wants to help define the future of access control for large-scale enterprise systems. This role blends hands-on engineering, architecture, and collaboration with a mission to modernize identity services. This position is on-site in Bethesda, MD.

Responsibilities:

• Leverage system development experience including design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing of an agency-approved IdAM solution
• Support Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC) application development, integration, deployment, and maintenance
• Design, develop, build, and test IT engineering solutions for aggregating attributes from authoritative sources and integrating with Virtual LDAP Directory and Web Services
• Develop advanced engineering ideas and guide them to final product delivery
• Create and maintain technical and programmatic documentation
• Implement system enhancements to improve IT enterprise performance
• Analyze customer requirements and specifications, proposing solutions aligned with standards, compliance, and operational needs
• Create, manage, and update development-related tasks in JIRA
• Maintain version control and manage source code repositories
• Test code and integrate with CI/CD pipelines

Requirements:

• Expertise with agency-standard Identity and Access Management (IdAM) solutions and implementations
• Proficient in Linux/Unix systems administration
• Experience with cloud application architecture (AWS, Azure)
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as AWS CloudFormation
• Experience in system design, security integration, and enterprise-level application deployment
• US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph security clearance required

Desired Experience:

• Experience with scripting to automate development or operational tasks (Bash, Python, or similar)
• Ability to develop enterprise and solution-level architectural designs
• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and other project management tools

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00

Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.
