General Function:
- Possess knowledge of computer engineering and software virtualization.
- Support the design, development, testing/evaluation, implementation, maintenance, and administration of computer networks.
- Assist with systems acquisition and integration at system/subsystem levels.
- Apply systems requirements analysis and allocation techniques.
- Understand computer systems architecture and perform systems/subsystems testing and evaluation.
- Have knowledge of DoD DISN infrastructure, including:
- Point-to-point connectivity
- IP-based services
- Virtual Private Networks (VPNs)
- Understand IEEE standards, including:
- Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS)
- High Level Architecture (HLA)
- Provide engineering support to address complex network standard issues.
- Maintain general knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Understand procedures for achieving an Authorization to Operate (ATO).
- Recognized industry expert providing strategic advice, technical guidance, and oversight for complex to extremely complex programs.
- Leads requirement development, data analysis, and solution recommendations for mission-critical challenges from project inception to completion.
- Oversees and mentors multidisciplinary teams, ensuring coordination and performance across all technical and professional levels.
Qualifications:
Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:
- Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field and at least 20 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, 12 years of which must be in the DoD
- or Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 25 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 15 years of which must be in the DoD
- or 30 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, 20 years of which must be in the DoD.
- Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the Top Secret Level.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications and other standard applications.
