Description
BlueForce Inc. is seeking a Protocol Assistant in support of the Headquarters Air Combat Command (HQ ACC) at Creech AFB, NV. The Protocol Assistant will report to unit leadership and be responsible for planning, managing, and executing the Wing Protocol program, which includes overseeing ceremonies, conferences, briefings, social events, and high level foreign and domestic visits.

The Protocol Assistant will report to unit leadership and be responsible for planning, managing, and executing the Wing Protocol program, which includes overseeing ceremonies, conferences, briefings, social events, and high level foreign and domestic visits.

General Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief of Protocol in the development and implementation of protocol policy and procedural guidance for the Wing.
- Coordinate initiatives, plans and actions of headquarters' elements into an integrated protocol program.
- Instruct project officers on procedures for social events, conferences, meetings, briefings, visits, ceremonies, invitations, seating, programs and other associated protocol functions
- Apply protocol practices and procedures according to established policies, procedures, and precedents.
- Direct the implementation of officially sanctioned visits to the command through direct contact with protocol offices of the Air Force, DOD, foreign embassies, state and local organizations.
- Brief the 432 WG/CC and staff concerning policies, procedure, and plans pertaining to distinguished visitors and on all matters/special projects within the sphere of protocol activity.
- Meet and escort distinguished visitors on behalf of the Command Section.
- Work on special projects requiring sensitivity to individuals and groups representing a variety of nationalities, cultures, and politics, per diplomatic code.
- Assist in the management and training of 432 Wing protocol staff.
- Provide long-range planning and implementation procedures for protocol events.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possess a Secret security clearance.
- Extensive experience and knowledge of the concepts, principles, and techniques to establish, implement, and maintain a proactive protocol program requiring extensive knowledge of military traditions and working with high level military and civilian officials.
- Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with groups interested in or affected by the protocol program or policies.
- Strong knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, policies, and precedents and local guidelines which affect the protocol program and related support resources in the area studied.
- Public Speaking and Briefing experience to diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of written and oral communication principles, methods, and techniques to conduct and coordinate protocol activities for a variety of organizations.
- Knowledge and general understanding of Air Force, major command, and military traditions related to protocol.
- Skill in gathering, evaluating, and interpreting data for best practice and decision-making.
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft office applications.
