Description
SAIC is seeking a Chief Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership and support to a Government acquisition. This role provides technical expertise applied across the spacecraft development life cycle from concept design through vehicle delivery.
The Chief Systems Engineer will facilitate the test, rehearsal, & transition of space systems and enterprise operational ground command systems from development through initialization
The ideal candidate should be familiar with a wide range of GEOINT systems and software suites
The position is collocated with the customer and requires the ability to build customer relationships and provide technical advice and assistance.
Qualifications
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly
• Requires a Masters in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or Physics, with 10 or more years combined relevant, work related experience.
• Aerospace systems engineering expertise
• Strong proficiency in standard design tools applied to DevSecOps
• Demonstrated performance working in a high visibility position that requires self-motivation; strong technical and leadership background
• Must have excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, for interactions with military and government civilian personnel
Desired Qualifications:
• DoD and NRO Space experience
• Recent experience as a Chief Engineer working enterprise GEOINT mission integration
