United Support Services, Inc. (USS) founded in 2003, is an innovative professional services business headquartered in California. USS seeks a Temporary Full-Time (with the possibility of regular full-time employment) seasoned photographer/videographer that has experience with professional photography equipment such as SRL cameras, studio lighting, production equipment, strobe lighting, lighting grid, backgrounds, green screens, etc. Additionally, this person will have capabilities to support videography, video editing and graphics production. Specific experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, and Avid are required/ Previous experience in a military organization PAO office is highly desired. This position will require an on-site presence at LA Air Force Base (LAAFB) and local travel to events.
Job Description
• Compose visual material for printing, digital, photo, or video display.
• Create and maintain a library to store graphics, images, video clips that are used or created for each project.
• Use audio-visual technology (photo, video, motion graphics) to create visual information productions ranging from news features, public service announcements and interactive productions, to training and informational videos on virtually any topic.
• Conduct photo and video shoots and edit original material collected from numerous outside sources.
• Gathers information, develops operating plans, and establishes shooting schedules.
• Creates audiovisual productions consisting of motion graphics, recorded sound, narration, and music as required.
• Design and create art work to include the following products: brochures, flyers, invitations, murals, posters, logos, book covers, briefing charts, certificates, checks for display, coins, maps, sign out boards and labels in accordance with the specifications of each work order.
• Maintain, modify, and troubleshoot the portfolio of previously designed animations and create all other programs broadcast design elements (e.g.) Open teasers, story titles, lower Thirds Bumpers, and End Credits and re-design elements of the program as required.
• Support standby alert and emergency requirements after normal business hours.
• Other tasks and duties as may be assigned.
Position Requirements
• Able to pass background check and access federal installation.
• Five (5) or more years of journey-man level technical experience in multimedia production, i.e., photo, video, and graphics.
• Must be able to use professional photography, videography, and graphics production and editing software and equipment used in multimedia production to include, but not limited to: Adobe Suite, Avid, Sony, Cannon, Nikon, cameras, camcorders and grip equipment/professional lighting equipment, Arri, Mole Richardson, Lowell, and all studio lighting and production equipment including strobe lighting, lighting grid, backgrounds, green screens, etc.
• Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Previous military PAO office experience highly desired
• An ability to work overtime for standby alert and emergency requirements.
