THE WORK
Unlock a Challenging and Rewarding Career as a Procurement Quality Engineer with Lockheed Martin

Join our team of innovators and leaders in the aerospace and defense industry as a Procurement Quality Engineer (PQE) in Orlando, FL. As a PQE, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and technical performance of deliverables from major subcontractors and suppliers supporting our Rotary and Tactical Training Solutions (RTATS) submarket segment. This includes cutting-edge programs like the Combat Rescue Helicopter (CRH), VH-92, CH53K, AIR5428, and F-16.

Your Mission:
Conduct thorough testing of high-fidelity aircraft flight simulators, aircraft maintenance trainers, and logistics/depot business systems to ensure they meet our stringent quality standards.
Lead and coordinate with suppliers to ensure compliance with project schedules, costs, and technical requirements.
Perform on-site inspections, audits, and surveillance activities to identify and address quality deficiencies.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and government customers to drive process improvements, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, internal teams, and government representatives to ensure seamless communication and effective issue resolution.
Basic Qualifications:
Holds a technical bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience, with 5+ years of professional experience in system integration, systems engineering, IT, or a related field.

Has experience with industry standards such as AS9100, ISO-9001, ASTM, IEEE, and MIL-STD.
Is willing to support up to 60% travel to domestic and international locations.
Desired Skills:
Experience working with government customers, training devices, and training environments.
Knowledge of SIM Tech, Training Visual Systems, and aircraft maintenance/mechanical experience.
Former pilot experience or Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
Familiarity with EPDM/Windchill, SAP, and P2P business systems.
Experience with subsystem/system/software integration, Agile and waterfall methodology, and critical design attributes.
Possesses strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to author and review technical documentation, and provide weekly reports.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
