THE WORK
Responsibilities include management and oversight of Production Engineering for the Owego manufacturing team including manufacturing, test, and process engineering. Manufacturing Engineering Sr. Manager responsible for leading team to include manufacturing, test and process engineers and supporting personnel. This role will report to the IWSS Director of Production Operations and support the Owego factory/site lead with day-to-day operations of the factory. This position will be responsible for the oversight of BOM input, defining NRE, workflow processes, production floor setup/layout, production equipment maintenance, process improvements, work order audit closure, implementation of design changes, defect analysis, develop/maintain/implement the manufacturing technology roadmap, capital planning, make/buy, where/make, value added base, support build of prototypes, provide producibility reviews to development programs, develop custom fixtures/tooling/equipment, support the manufacturing operators in the build of product, resolve challenging manufacturing problems, etc.
Lead / participates in problem resolution; understands program goals, tradeoffs, and cost and schedules. Maintain and cultivate hiring activities to adequately staff, train and develop to support demand. Maintain and be ready for all company policies to support preparation, review, analysis, with Program Performance Management (PMP) compliance. Include plans by program and side wide the ability to identify risks and opportunities to plans; provide interface with the customer and senior management regarding business management matters; development/creation of innovative bid strategies to support new business capture; support special projects as needed. Provide support to the Director of IWSS Operations for all business needs as required.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or other related field from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education
• Prior leadership development and experience leading large teams in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to manage priorities, make sound financial decisions and be flexible to support ever changing production needs
• Strong analytical skills and ability to articulate technical and programmatic issues
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills including oral, listening, technical writing and team building
• Candidates must possess leadership skills and behaviors that align with the Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives
• Knowledge of Lean Principles and Continuous Improvement
• Experience with Project management, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action implementation
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Obtaining a clearance requires US Citizenship.
Desired Skills:
• Detailed experience with electronic manufacturing, machining, PWB, and composites. Knowledge of industry standards such as IPC 610 and J-STD-001.
• Master's in business administration or related experience with proven business acumen
• Experience developing and implementing automation for recurring production.
• Ability to drive customer value through integrating digital technologies into critical business areas
• Ability and aspiration to lead organization through 1LMX transformation

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $131,500 - $231,840. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
