ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Operations Support Manager to join our vehicle sustainment team in Erbil, Iraq.

The selected candidate will provide maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provides direct oversight and management for OCONUS operations.
  • Assists with directing, developing, and/or performing logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, and/or evaluating the logistical actions required to support a specified mission, equipment system, or other designated program.
  • Directs and supervises all support resources for the performance of project assignments and activities for successful completion and performance consistent with contractual agreements.
  • Identifies specific requirements for manpower, material, facilities, and services needed to support the program and correlating those requirements with program plans to assure required support is provided at the right time and place.
  • Provides logistical support utilizing knowledge of Global Combat Services Support System (GCSS), Maintenance Operations and Supply Chain Management, coordinating and evaluating the efforts of subordinate organizations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ten (10) years of experience and a BA/BS degree with at least three (3) years of experience managing projects with multiple performance locations OCONUS including support to combat operations.
  • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization; strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with Quality Assurance processes, quality monitoring, commercial and/or military warehousing practices, knowledge of mechanical and electronic troubleshooting to diagnose, align, and repair failed and damaged systems, and recruiting, training and supervision from a Human Resources perspective.
  • Proven communicator in verbal and written disciplines to include basic computer skills and document preparation; experience with office productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to provide formal, over-the-shoulder, and on-the-spot training to contractor and unit personnel and monitor, analyze and evaluate maintenance and logistics programs for supported organizations in OCONUS locations.
  • Able to oversee maintenance and supply procedures, gather and analyze data, manage resources, identify strengths and weaknesses of current processes, and develop cost-efficient solutions to optimize overall operation
  • Must be able to meet all government CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) requirements for foreign travel into operational locations; ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening; must possess a Valid Driver's License for the location in which the work will be performed.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Willingness to travel to various US or OCONUS locations.


Clearance Requirements:
  • Must be a US Citizen and have a current/active Secret clearance.

  • Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel
  • Must be able to push, pull, and reach
  • Must be able to work in high noise areas
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts
  • Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard
