The Software Developer Engineer

***Ability to obtain a Public Trust and US Citizenship Required***

The Software Developer Engineer s responsible for Intune implementation and management services to centralize authoring of device configurations, manage user access, and simplify app and device management across agency devices, including mobile devices, desktop computers, and virtual endpoints. The Intune Engineer will operate and maintain the Government mobile device management (MDM) system (Microsoft Intune) and administer the mobile devices such as smartphones, tablet devices, and laptops and to ensure that it adhere to access, configurations, corporate policies and certificates, and backend infrastructure for the purposes of enhancing the IT management of end users' mobile devices.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Software Developer Engineer: Pay starts at $133,000 - $140,000 commensurate with experience.

Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Software Developer Engineer Job Description:
  • Should have expert experience in SCCM 2019 Versions 2006 & MECM
  • Strong Experience of Operating System Deployment, in place OS upgrades, and task sequences
  • Performing patch management for servers, workstations, and infrastructure devices
  • Planning software pushes using approved RRB enterprise patch management software
  • Distributing packages to test groups
  • Troubleshooting software package deployment
  • Deploying packages to required endpoints
  • Reporting services to include status of software and system update deployments
  • Ensuring workstations and infrastructure endpoints are compliant
  • Developing draft TOs, SOPs, checklists, guides, best practices and procedures to support patch management
  • Automating procedures using scripts
  • Experience of Patch Management and vulnerability remediation using SCCM End user workstations to include desktops and laptops
  • In-depth knowledge of SCCM client installation, software distribution, remote control, and other SCCM issues
  • Expertise in SCCM Administration, software deployment, packaging, endpoint asset intelligence, installer
  • Experience in deploying, troubleshooting, and managing Bit locker encryption on Windows devices
  • Expertise in Package Creation, Deployment and Reporting
  • Experience in supporting Windows (7, 8 and 10)

Education, Skills and Technical Requirements:

Qualifications:
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Language: Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain a Public Trust. U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to government requirements.
  • Experience: At least six (6) years of help desk experience with the skills listed below.
  • Certifications:
    • CompTIA A+, Security+, Network+, and ITIL Foundations (required or must be obtained within six months of hire).

Technical Expertise:
  • Operating Systems:
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7 & 10 security features and integration.
    • Expertise in Operating System Deployment (OSD).
    • Experience in maintaining and delivering centrally managed Standardized OSDs for both 64-bit and 32-bit systems.
    • OSD deployment via SCCM using task sequences and PXE boot.
  • Endpoint Management:
    • Intermediate skills with InTune Unified Endpoint Management.
  • System Administration:
    • Knowledge of Group Policy Objects (GPOs):
    • Creation, deployment, and troubleshooting for OS, browsers, productivity apps, and security settings.
    • Intermediate understanding of Information Assurance guidelines.
  • Networking:
    • Intermediate understanding of network topologies:
      • Wireless 802.11, DHCP, DNS, VPN, and P2P/B2B protocols.
  • Active Directory (AD):
    • Advanced skills in AD management, deployment, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Scripting and Automation:
    • Expert-level proficiency in:
      • VBScript and PowerShell scripting.
      • Writing WQL queries.
  • Service Management:
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Service Manager:
      • ITIL Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
      • Integration with tools like Active Directory, SCOM, SCCM, Office 365, and SharePoint.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Ability to work from home in an uninterrupted space with high speed intranet
    • Schedule 8-5 PM EST
    • No Travel required
