Description
Acucyber is seeking an Infrastructure Support Engineer. The primary responsibility of the Infrastructure Support Engineer will be to independently troubleshoot enterprise network issues to ensure continuity of service for customers. The selected individual must be able to evaluate circumstances, identify root causes, and develop a plan for resolution. A successful candidate must understand complex networks and utilize the latest practices and principles to resolve issues. This engineer will support all MTFs in the DHA enterprise and be responsible for troubleshooting issues with network devices. There will be customer engagement daily.
Typical Duties Include:
· Tier III help desk support for all tenants in the DHA network.
· Triaging issues and resolving and/or assigning to the appropriate network teams for remediation.
· Engagement with internal and external customers to provide solutions to network issues.
· Troubleshooting issues with a variety of different network devices and protocols.
· Working in a team setting and making recommendations related to troubleshooting, device configuration, and documentation.
· Documenting projects, support actions, and other administrative artifacts to serve as reference material for related support activities and management staff.
· Ensuring incidents and service requests adhere to established service level agreements.
Required Skills
Certification Requirements:
IAT Level II
· Security Certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SCCP)
· Cisco OS Certification
Systems, Certifications, and Years' Experience:
· 6+ years' relevant experience in supporting a large network infrastructure.
· Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred but not required.
· A strong knowledge of Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and Virtual Private Network devices.
· A good understanding of TCP/IP regarding routing and subnetting.
· Must be a team player that can work under pressure with good written and oral communication skills.
Experience with the following Network protocols and services:
· Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP)
· Access Control Lists
· Layer 2 Switching
· Spanning Tree
· Packet Analysis
Experience with the following a plus:
· Cisco Switch 4500X
· Cisco Switch 9000 Series
· Palo Alto Firewall PA-5050
Other requirements:
· A strong sense of urgency including self-governance on task priority.
· Must be willing to work shifts to cover a 24x7 operational environment.
