About the Role:
Aquila is seeking a System Administratort o join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations. The System Administrator will support along side a team end-to-end system architecture design, decision support, and advanced analytics to enhance the protection of the homeland and U.S. interests overseas.

Aquila is seeking a System Administratort o join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations. The System Administrator will support along side a team end-to-end system architecture design, decision support, and advanced analytics to enhance the protection of the homeland and U.S. interests overseas.
There are a few requirements for the position:
- Must be a U.S Citizen - Must a Active Secret Clearance (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
- Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)
- Must be within 100 miles Lexington, Massachusetts.
Responsibilities:
- Administer GNU/Linux desktop/server environments, including Red Hat, Ubuntu, and Centos distributions
- Administer Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh desktop environments, including Win 10 and OS X
- Support installation, maintenance, repair, and upgrade of computer and network equipment -Review and test new hardware and software applications and make recommendations for purchases
- Design and implement shell scripts and other tools to automate processes and provide needed capabilities to technical staff
- Contribute to projects to improve aspects of the computing and network infrastructure: data storage, backups and recovery, network bandwidth and throughput, application installation and management
- Support design and implement configuration management and monitoring of systems and networks
- Collaborate with other personnel within the organization to enhance technology and support practices
- Maintain regular contact with organization and security resources and to rapidly reconfigure systems to report and remediate performance and security issues
Required Skills:
- Linux Administrator including scripting
- Netapp Administrator, setup and troubleshooting
- An understanding of network setup at the system level (i.e. IPTables and firewalls)
- LDAP proficient administration, setup and maintenance
- JIRA
- Configure and Manage Centralized Logging and Audit Capabilities
- Strong Backup Experience and Proven Ability to Protect Mission Critical Data
- Systems Administration
- Technologies including DNS, DHCP, Proxy and Load Balancing
- UNIX platform, OSX, Cisco IOS
- Virtualization Technologies (VMware, including ESXi and VCenter configuration)
Must Have
- Degree Level: Bachelor's Degree
- Clearance Level: Must have an Active Secret Clearance (OR a higher clearance)
- 5 years - Networks
- 5 years - Network setup at the system level (i.e. IPTables and firewalls)
- 5 years - Software Tools
- 5 years - Jira
- 5 years - Configure and Manage Centralized Logging and Audit Capabilities
- 5 years - Hardware: Intel/AMD, Cisco, Sun/Oracle, Dell, Apple, EMC, NetApp
- 5 years - Linux Environment
- 5 years - MS Active Directory, LDAP
- 5 years - Strong Backup Experience and Proven Ability to Protect Mission Critical Data
- 10 years - Systems Administration
- 5 years - Technologies including DNS, DHCP, Proxy and Load Balancing
- 10 years - UNIX platform, OSX, Cisco IOS
- 5 years - Virtualization Technologies (VMware, including ESXi and VCenter configuration)
