FME Electrical Engineer

Torch Technologies is seeking experienced FME Electrical Engineer to analyze and document military hardware systems. In this role, candidates will work in a laboratory environment on Redstone Arsenal to perform foreign material exploitation (FME), reverse engineering hardware to characterize and assess system operations and performance.

• Candidates will be expected to work in a team to analyze hardware circuitry, build functional diagrams and schematics, and develop tools and methods for system diagnostics.
• Furthermore, candidates will be expected to configure lab systems to ensure systems or subsystems are functioning correctly.
• Candidates will help support buildup and definition of special test equipment to test various individual subsystems.
• This will include hardware definition, system documentation including wiring lists and functional block diagrams.
• Also included is hardware ICD's, test procedures, user manuals, and possible user training.
• The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong work ethic, have a positive attitude, and possess a strong foundation in testing/analysis of analog circuitry.
• Preferred candidates will have experience analyzing weapon systems and have experience with the following: Hardware reverse engineering, testing, or integration, characterization of foreign threat systems, analysis of surface-to-air missile (SAM) systems.
• Documentation of subsystems, generation of user manuals, and requirements generation and refinement.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's of Science Degree in Electrical engineering or equivalent experience from an accredited university.
• 5 years of applicable experience in complex hardware testing, analysis, design, or integration.
• Candidates with experience supporting Army or Department of Defense related fields are preferred but not required.
• The work site is located within government facilities on Redstone Arsenal, AL.
• Position requires that candidate obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Inability to obtain or maintain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.
• Very limited travel may be required for this position.
