Job Description:
Cydecor is seeking a Senior Designer/ Draftsman to provide support to a Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) customer.
This role will support the development of engineering systems designs, engineering drawings, and computer models. Candidates should possess strong engineering and design fundamentals, as well as expertise and familiarity with U.S. Navy submersibles and related systems.
Responsibilities include:
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
Work Schedule: M-F0900-1700

Job Description:
Cydecor is seeking a Senior Designer/ Draftsman to provide support to a Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) customer.
This role will support the development of engineering systems designs, engineering drawings, and computer models. Candidates should possess strong engineering and design fundamentals, as well as expertise and familiarity with U.S. Navy submersibles and related systems.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing designs for complex engineering systems, structure and components, including mechanical, electrical, and circuits, from planning to execution
- Read and provide analysis on drawings
- Generate computer models
- 5 years of engineering design and drafting experience in support of defense systems and programs
- Experience and expertise in developing designs for complex engineering systems from planning to execution
- Familiarity with American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) drafting and drawings standards
- Experience in design and drafting techniques, engineering drawings, Computer Aided Design, computer model generation
- Familiarity with U.S. Navy submersibles, expeditionary programs, and related systems
- Knowledge of DSS-SOC and NAVSEA Note 5000 requirements
- More than 10 years of experience related to the position description
- Expertise in specific drafting requirements and practices for a SEAL Delivery Vehicle or Shallow Water Combat Submersible (SWCS)
