Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Systems Technician to join our team. This role involves assembling, disassembling, and modifying aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. The technician will oversee assembly, disassembly, and overhaul processes, configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment, and troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems. The position requires validation/verification testing of systems and components, documentation of procedures, and ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. The technician will also inspect components to verify repairs for flight worthiness and oversee training.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble, disassemble, and modify systems by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading aerospace vehicle components.
  • Oversee assembly, disassembly, or overhaul processes.
  • Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
  • Perform validation/verification testing of systems and components.
  • Document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
  • Inspect components and verify repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot integrated conventional weapons systems, electronic and electromechanical components, fire control systems, electro-environmental systems, subassemblies, Alternate Mission Equipment, and test equipment.
  • Perform maintenance, repair, inspection, fabrication, and modification of integrated conventional weapons systems electronic and electro-mechanical components, fire control systems, electro-environmental systems, and their subassemblies.
  • Remove/install integrated conventional weapons systems electronic components, fire control systems, electro-environmental systems, bomb navigation systems, and subassemblies.
  • Perform pretest, operational, functional, electrical, mechanical, and final testing of integrated conventional weapon systems electronic components, fire control systems, electro-environmental systems, bomb navigation systems, and their subassemblies.
  • Accomplish configuration changes of integrated conventional weapons control, launch, release, and suspension assemblies on assigned aircraft and equipment based on mission requirements.
  • Perform explosive operations, load and unload, position, arm, and safe all assigned conventional air munitions and pyrotechnics on assigned aircraft and equipment.
  • Control tools, clean work area and equipment, and complete work control documents in accordance with established procedures.
Required Experience:
  • Interim secret clearance or ability to obtain.
  • At least 3 years of aviation maintenance experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Experience in testing, repair, and configuration.
Preferred Experience:
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Military background.
  • Experience in helicopter maintenance.
  • AMP experience.
Education / Experience:
  • Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g., High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate + 2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
Candidates must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
