TRG is seeking a qualified Program Manager to lead the TRG team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Transition Assistance Program (TAP). This individual will be responsible for overseeing the successful performance of this contract (e.g., cost, schedule, management, quality, compliance, etc.).
This position is currently hybrid with work being performed in Washington, DC, McLean, Virginia, or remotely. Core hours are between 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (ET), Monday through Friday.
This position is expected to begin November 18, 2025 and is contingent upon Contract Award and Favorable Adjudication from the VA Personnel Security and Adjudication Center (PSAC).
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the execution of VA TAP contract, ensuring alignment with VA goals and interagency mandates.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for government stakeholders to ensure effective communication and contract performance.
· Oversee the development, maintenance, and execution of the Project Management Plan (PMP), including staffing, risk management, scheduling, quality control, and transition planning.
· Manage a large, geographically dispersed workforce supporting over 330 military installations globally, ensuring continuity of services and effective delivery of all TAP components.
· Lead program-wide coordination of tasks across curriculum development, training, data analysis, and onsite operations to maintain compliance and performance standards.
· Ensure timely and accurate submission of all contract deliverables, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports and briefings.
· Monitor program risks, issues, and staffing challenges, implementing mitigation strategies and reporting status to stakeholders during regular status meetings.
· Ensure all deliverables and communications meet Section 508 compliance and plain language standards and are stored in accordance with VA data security policies.
· Guide continuous improvement initiatives through regular evaluation of contract performance, incorporating feedback from stakeholders and aligning with evolving VA policies and legislation.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree
· Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
· Twelve (12) years of relevant experience in program management in the federal government
