POSITION SUMMARY
The Course Contractor Representative (CCR) for the Satellite Vehicle Expert (SVE) course serves as the government-aligned lead for planning, instruction, and curriculum support for Delta 8's wideband SATCOM training mission located at Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB), Colorado. This individual will be the primary interface between Aleut instructors and 8 TS staff, overseeing all facets of the SVE course, including simulator coordination, courseware development, instructor readiness, and student qualification tracking.
This role requires strong instructional design capability, MILSATCOM operational expertise, and leadership of cross-functional training teams. The CCL ensures compliance with PWS requirements, maintains the SVE curriculum using ISD principles, and contributes to the continuous improvement of Delta 8's mission qualification training.

This role requires strong instructional design capability, MILSATCOM operational expertise, and leadership of cross-functional training teams. The CCL ensures compliance with PWS requirements, maintains the SVE curriculum using ISD principles, and contributes to the continuous improvement of Delta 8's mission qualification training.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Serve as the Course Contractor Representative (CCR) for the SVE course and act as the lead point of contact between the contractor team and 8 TS leadership.
- Manage, schedule, and deliver up to three SVE classes per calendar year, each approximately 23 weeks (118 training days) in length, in alignment with Delta 8 requirements.
- Coordinate the delivery of classroom and mission-based simulator instruction for wideband MILSATCOM systems to up to six students per class.
- Lead and execute the review, update, and creation of ISD-compliant courseware using ADDIE methodology; incorporate training task documents such as the MTL and RTM.
- Provide oversight of instructor performance, qualifications, and training delivery; coordinate instructor spot checks, scheduling, and status reporting.
- Collaborate with simulator vendors (e.g., Sonalyst, WESS, L3 Harris) and Government stakeholders to manage simulator support and address system deficiencies or upgrades.
- Maintain student and instructor records in Patriot Excalibur (PEX) or the Government's designated training system of record; generate qualification data, feedback reports, and certification documents.
- Prepare and submit recurring deliverables such as: student feedback reports, monthly instructor progress reports, and monthly after-action reports.
- Track and report metrics such as student throughput, simulator availability, and curriculum updates to support leadership decision-making and contract compliance.
EDUCATION/TRAINING
- Required: Associates degree or equivalent military/ civilian training.
- Completion of a recognized military instructor course.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Education, Space Operations, or related technical field.
EXPERIENCE
Required:
- 3+ years of ISD-based curriculum development experience in Space Operations.
- 2+ years of direct instructional or hands-on system training experience.
- Expert knowledge of SATCOM fundamentals and familiarity with USSF MILSATCOM architecture and command structure.
- Demonstrated leadership of small teams or coordination of training program.
- Preferred:
- Experience managing SVE or equivalent SATCOM training courses.
- Experience with wideband SATCOM systems such as DSCS, WGS, or WTCS simulators.
SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Expert understanding of MILSATCOM operations and wideband communications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).
- Effective communicator (verbal and written); capable of briefing, facilitating, and reporting to leadership.
- Skilled in PEX or similar training management platforms.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with government, military, and industry stakeholders.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to use a computer and related equipment for prolonged periods.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This is an Onsite position that requires work to be performed onsite at a government location.
- The working conditions for this position may include the following:
- Working indoors in an office environment.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background screening.
- Must possess and be able to maintain a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Must be able to be cleared for base or site access.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Position may require up to 10% travel to CONUS government facilities for integration, testing, or collaboration.
