POSITION SUMMARY

The Course Contractor Representative (CCR) and the government counterpart directly support the Delta 8 Training Support Services contract, serving as the central coordinator for classroom instruction, scheduling, and curriculum execution in support of 8 TS training operations. This position at Point Mugu, California, supports the government training staff by managing instructor qualification tracking, classroom scheduling, feedback collection, and instructor observation coordination. The CCR is also responsible for database management, simulator support coordination, and courseware development within the Space Operations environment.

This position requires high organizational precision, cross-functional coordination, and familiarity with USSF MILSATCOM operations. The CCR must be capable of briefing stakeholders, training unit personnel on systems like PEX, and ensuring that training and readiness tracking meet mission requirements. The CCR will also provide direct instructional support for 10 SOPS.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Coordinate and track instructor spot checks for site personnel; manage scheduling, deconfliction, and observer notifications.
  • Schedule and deconflict training classrooms and facilities for all training activities across 10 SOPS.
  • Maintain training and qualification records in PEX (or the current system of record), including daily grade sheets, AF Form 4419s, status updates, and certificate issuance.
  • Support Delta 8 Instructor Qualification Course (IQC) scheduling for in-residence and distance learning.
  • Coordinate professional development events, gather attendance data, and compile feedback/after-action reports.
  • Deliver metrics and monthly reports related to student throughput, facility availability, academic scheduling, and instructor progression.
  • Organize quarterly Instructor Review Boards (IRB) and monthly SATCOM Fundamentals training sessions.
  • Support the scheduling and deconfliction of Orbital Systems Knowledge (OSK) briefings across Narrowband, Wideband, Protected Band, and Commercial SATCOM.
  • Maintain and update training schedules on Teams and SharePoint platforms.
  • Provide curriculum and simulator support, including courseware revision per HQ training documents, managing simulator event scheduling, and troubleshooting liaison efforts.
  • Train personnel on PEX functionality and its use in readiness and inspection reporting.
  • Lead or support coordination efforts with external PEX managers and simulator vendors.
  • Provide instructional augmentation support for up to 18 classes annually across 10 SOPS and additional mission-based simulator training as needed.

EDUCATION/TRAINING
  • Required: Associate's degree or equivalent military/ civilian training.
  • Completion of a recognized military instructor course.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in training, education, management, or related field.
  • 2 years of course management or project coordination experience.

EXPERIENCE
  • Required:
  • 3+ years of ISD-based curriculum development experience in Space Operations
  • 2+ years of direct instructional or hands-on system training experience
  • Familiarity with MILSATCOM operational environments and USSF command structures
  • Applied experience with Protected SATCOM (e.g., Milstar, AEHF, EPS, etc.) systems.
  • Preferred:
  • Experience managing training simulators.
  • Experience supporting Protected, Narrowband, or Wideband SATCOM instruction.
  • Knowledge of communications topologies, including Ka, Ku, and X band design.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate evolving space environments and proactively address knowledge gaps with new training material development

SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Expert organizational and scheduling skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across DoD organizations and contractor teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for reporting, documentation, and briefings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Teams, and PEX.
  • Ability to train unit personnel on PEX usage, reporting, and compliance.
  • Maintain, enhance, and develop training as needed for all personnel.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the ADDIE model.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to use a computer and related equipment for prolonged periods.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • This on-site position requires work to be performed onsite at a government location.
  • The working conditions for this position may include the following:
  • Working indoors in an office environment.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background screening.
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Must be able to be cleared for base or site access.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Position may require up to 10% travel to CONUS government facilities for integration, testing, or collaboration.

Salary Range- $110K-$130K
