Sr. Project Manager – Engineering Programs

MBA Consulting Services Inc. (MBA CSi) is seeking an experienced Program Manager with a strong engineering background and proven project management expertise to support the Technology Acquisition and Program Management (TAPM) department within the US Postal Service's Engineering organization. This role is integral to driving innovation, managing complex engineering projects, and overseeing technology acquisition efforts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering projects across all stages of the equipment lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals
• Manage technology assessment and procurement initiatives to support operational advancements
• Lead hardware and software vendor interactions to ensure optimal performance and alignment with project needs
• Contribute to the design, development, and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery
• Leverage engineering principles to design and improve products, including engines, instruments, controls, robots, and machines
• Assist in the fabrication, installation, operation, application, and repair of mechanical systems
• Execute tasks based on established guidelines and organizational protocols

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a technical field
• 7-10 years of engineering management experience in a relevant field or closely related area
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Experience managing engineering projects and vendor coordination
• Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of project management coursework or certification (PMP preferred)
