Plateau GRP is seeking an experienced and highly capable Lead Software Developer to manage and guide a software development team in support of mission-critical Army web-based applications. This role oversees the full DevOps lifecycle — from requirements gathering to testing and deployment — and ensures alignment with best practices and industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical leadership skills, deep .NET and C# expertise, and a proven track record in Agile software development.

Job Title: Lead Software Developer/.NET

Plateau GRP is seeking an experienced and highly capable Lead Software Developer to manage and guide a software development team in support of mission-critical Army web-based applications. This role oversees the full DevOps lifecycle — from requirements gathering to testing and deployment — and ensures alignment with best practices and industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical leadership skills, deep .NET and C# expertise, and a proven track record in Agile software development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the software development team through all phases of the DevOps lifecycle, including requirements analysis, task estimation, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Coordinate closely with Mission Support and Operations teams to ensure seamless integration of development efforts with deployment and support activities.
- Establish and enforce development best practices, processes, and documentation standards across the team.
- Ensure priorities are consistently aligned with customer needs and mission objectives.
- Serve as subject matter expert (SME) on:
- .NET Framework (4.6+)
- C# programming language
- Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Visual Studio Team System
- Develop high-quality, scalable, and secure web-based applications using:
- ASP.NET API/MVC
- Object-Oriented Programming
- MS SQL Server
- JSON/Web Services
- Apply Agile software development methodologies in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the IT industry, including:
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience in technical design, development, and deployment of web-based applications.
- Demonstrated expertise with:
- .NET Framework, C#, Visual Studio, and TFS
- MS SQL Server technologies
- Web Services, JSON, and object-oriented technologies
- Agile development processes, tools, and best practices
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and working in mission-focused development environments.
- Familiarity with or direct experience on at least one of the following Army systems:
- TAMIS
- SAAS-MOD
- GCSS-A / GCSS-MC
- OIS-MC Tactical
- FMSWeb
- AOS
- WebAmmo
