Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking a NOC Technician to support a federal client in a high-visibility data center operations environment. This role provides critical monitoring, incident detection, and escalation support to ensure infrastructure availability and service continuity. U.S. Citizenship Required.

Shift Schedule:
- Training: Mon-Fri (0700-1530), split between Ashburn, Springfield, and remote
- Post-training: Tues-Sat (2300-0730) onsite in Ashburn
- Candidates must be willing to support 2nd (1500-2330) or 3rd (2300-0730) shifts
In this role, you will:
- Monitor data center infrastructure using enterprise tools and escalate incidents
- Participate in bridge calls to resolve incidents and restore services
- Record and manage incidents using BMC Remedy or equivalent ITSM platforms
- Maintain and update SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and documentation
- Support quarterly reviews and populate the knowledge base with known solutions
- Monitor systems across production, development, and test environments
- Escalate and resolve infrastructure issues impacting availability
- Identify performance trends to proactively prevent failures
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years supporting incident, problem, and change management in federal environments
- 3+ years with monitoring tools such as IBM Netcool, AppDynamics, HP Ops Manager, or Splunk
- 3+ years using incident tools such as ServiceNow or BMC Remedy
- 3+ years working in large-scale monitoring environments
- Hands-on experience with Java App Servers, VMware, Oracle, Unix/Linux, MQ, AIX, or DB2/UDB
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to work evening/weekend shifts as needed
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of relevant experience
