Mid Interface Engineer

Our work depends on a Mid Interface Engineer joining our team to support the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) activities.

As a Mid Interface Engineer supporting PEO IWS, you will be trusted to bring together a multi-disciplinary team that is geographically dispersed to provide engineering planning, design, integration, installation, and test of Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) onboard ships post-construction and during maintenance availabilities.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Supports Interface Engineering activities across the program
• Draws on experience to resolve interface design problems
• Supports reviews of engineering drawings and documentation on CI/NDI and MILSPEC equipment
• Supports interface with equipment In-Service Engineering Agencies (ISEA), Combat Systems Engineering Agents (CSEA) and Software Support Activities (SSA) as required
• Draws on experience to suggest resolutions for element, multi-element, and weapon or combat system hardware, interface, and interoperability issues
• Suggests ways that components and systems interface through cables
• Suggests ways to select cable types, understanding cabling that approved for shipboard use and the standards and requirements for shipboard cabling with respect to interface of electrical/electronic component, and development of cable run sheets in addition to cable/connector selections based on interface requirements

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• BA/BS in the relevant field and 6+ years of relevant experience (or 10+ years of experience without a degree)
• A US DoD Secret security clearance is required.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of the larger GDIT Navy and Marine Corps Sector.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
