JHNA is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR & Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team supporting government contracting operations. This dual-role position blends human resources support with full-cycle recruitment responsibilities, playing a critical role in maintaining compliance with federal regulations and building a high-performing workforce.
The ideal candidate will bring knowledge of HR practices, recruiting strategies in the cleared and non-cleared space, and a strong understanding of GovCon compliance requirements, such as OFCCP, EEO, and FAR.
Roles/Responsibilities:
Recruiting (50%):
Human Resources (50%):
JHNA is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employees. The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. Roles/Responsibilities:
Recruiting (50%):
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for both cleared and non-cleared positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Develop talent pipelines for high-demand roles and proposals, maintaining relationships with passive candidates.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to forecast staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Create job postings compliant with OFCCP and internal guidelines; post on government-compliant job boards.
Human Resources (50%):
- Administer HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws (e.g., EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA).
- Support onboarding and orientation of new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
- Maintain employee records in compliance with company policy and government regulations.
- Assist with benefits administration, employee relations, and performance management processes.
- Help ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other contractual HR requirements.
- Contribute to audits, reporting, and internal reviews as required by government contracts.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; a combination of education and experience can be used in lieu of degree.
- 3-5 years of experience in HR and recruiting, preferably in a GovCon environment.
- Familiarity with government contracting regulations (e.g., OFCCP, FAR, DFARS, E-Verify).
- Experience recruiting for cleared positions and working with government customers/agencies.
- Knowledge of HRIS/ATS systems (e.g., iSolved, iCIMS, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance.
- This position may require occasional travel for recruiting events or HR support.
