Full-time position – 8 hours per day/40 hours per week. 11 Federal Holidays. Vacation and Sick Leave.
Supporting U.S. Army Command Group Section at Ft. Eustis, VA.
Notary public current standing required.
5-10 years experience.
Salary $85-87K.

Responsibilities include:
General secretarial duties (filing, taking phone calls, scheduling appointments, making travel arrangements), this position will provide administrative support to executive staff with office management responsibilities to include budgeting, and personnel records.
The Administrative Assistant may be required to work independently on projects requiring research and preparation of briefing charts and other presentation materials.
The Administrative Assistant shall coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and update schedules and calendars for up to five (5) Command Group personnel.
The Administrative Assistant shall route hard copy and electronic mail and correspondence.
The Administrative Assistant shall perform duties as a notary public.
The Administrative Assistant shall perform unit member and family information management tasks.
The Administrative Assistant shall prepare the organization's newsletter.
The Administrative Assistant shall perform direct communications with senior military and civilian executives.

Experience should include:
Extensive communication skills required, both written and oral, should be able to communicate at all levels.
    Ability to act independently with little supervision.
    Able to plan and execute large-scale command directed electronic filing projects.
    Strong ability to organize, plan, coordinate, manage, and assess electronic filing project.
Working knowledge of current software applications, i.e., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, working knowledge of portal-based software applications and SharePoint.

Education: A high school degree or G.E.D. is required at a minimum.

Security. The employee shall comply with the provisions of the National Industrial Security Operating Manual (DOD 5220.22-M). The employee shall meet all local security requirements and be held to the same level as government employees in the section. Government will advise employee of appropriate security procedures and other pertinent policies, as well as process the appropriate Access Badge upon receipt of proper clearance documentation.

Security Clearance. The employee must have a Secret Clearance before beginning work and must maintain a Secret Clearance to Top Secret for the duration of the performance period.

Physical Security. The employee shall immediately notify the Physical Security Officer, of any security violations, security incident, or any indication of a potential unauthorized disclosure or compromise of classified or sensitive unclassified information.
