Facility Operations Manager

Amentum has an opportunity for a Facility Operations Manager (FOM) to join our team at our Springfield, VA work location.

The Facility Manager is responsible for ensuring efficient utilization and accountability for facilities operations. Facility operations relate to all areas of critical infrastructure management. The FOM will lead a team of 50 highly trained technicians in the fields of Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Roads and Grounds, Emergency Power and Carpentry.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Oversees the preventative maintenance and work orders for the Springfield campus. The Campus is 120 acres with 2.7 million sq ft under roof. The building occupied by 9,000 workers and the FOM will ensure all PMs and WOs are completed to meet the customer requirements.
• Formulates operating rules, and procedures in support of the 24/7 operation.
• Inspects plant facilities or reviews inspection reports, to determine repairs, replacement, or improvements required.
• Coordinates activities of personnel involved in repair and maintenance of facilities, buildings, and equipment to minimize interruption and improve efficiency.
• Prepares related reports and audits current procedures to monitor efficiency of operations.
• Reviews reports of expenditures for previous year and proposed improvements on facilities in order to prepare budget estimates for upcoming year.
• Ensures employee conformance to established practices and proper training of staff.
• Responsible for hiring, employee motivation, and counseling of employees supervised.
• Responsible for the enforcement of company security/safety policies and procedures.
• Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in facility management, engineering, or related field or at least ten years of progressive supervisory experience in a similar position of similar size and scope.
• Must have an industry recognized facilities management certification.
• Good communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of Microsoft office suite of software tools.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Must possess and maintain an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
