Program Description:

Ennoble First leads DISA's Technology Engineering Services (TES) program, providing technical and engineering support for pilot projects, technology prototypes, and emerging technology research. We deliver system integration, evaluation, and O&M across cloud environments and lab infrastructures. This role supports network architecture design, integration, and virtualization efforts that directly contribute to the lab's mission to test, integrate, and sustain cutting-edge systems in support of DoD innovation.

Position Description:

The Senior Network Engineer/Administrator will perform advanced duties in the design, development, installation, upgrade, integration, and administration of the DISA TAC Lab network infrastructure. This includes monitoring network servers, equipment, and devices for performance and stability, and managing cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Azure. The role requires knowledge of Windows, Linux, and VMware configuration. The ideal candidate is a lifelong learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to explore and adopt new technologies as part of their ongoing professional growth.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Design and O&M support of the DISA TAC lab network multi-segment environment.
  • Install, upgrade, configure, integrate and maintain network hardware, software and related OS including; servers, switches, routers, firewalls, SIEMs, gateways, and cabling.
  • Provide f5 BIG IP O&M support including software updates and patches, rule changes.
  • Create/delete subnets or virtual networks to improve performance and increase security.
  • Create, configure, monitor VMware vSphere distributed and standard switches.
  • Monitor/troubleshoot network traffic and analyze performance utilizing Wireshark.
  • Enforce network security policies and standards. and logging requirements.
  • Lead network installation and migration projects including delivery of artifacts.
  • Draft and submit RFC and AAR change reporting mechanisms for approval.
  • Administer network standards, including naming conventions, IP schemas and protocols.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot firewalls and authentication servers and encryption methods.
  • Maintain inventory and documentation of hardware and software systems.
  • Create scripts to automate bulk configuration changes to network devices.
  • Design, develop and administration of on prem and cloud prototype network solutions.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field (4+ years of relevant experience can be substituted).
  • 3+ years [GM1] of progressive experience in network infrastructure design and management.
  • Certifications:) Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
  • Experience in virtual environments (VMware), cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure),
  • Deep knowledge of network protocols.
  • Scripting and programming knowledge (PowerShell, Python, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DISA systems and U.S. government network infrastructures.
  • Expertise with Splunk Enterprise, f5 Firewalls, SIEMs.
  • Experience with VMWare-based systems and enterprise server management.

Pay Range:

$110,000-$135,000

The Ennoble First pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
