Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Lead Network Engineer / Network Analyst to join our growing Space Engineering Solutions team!

This opportunity supports multiple missions, including Satellite Ground Systems, Satellite Antenna resource scheduling and proxy, and deploying Parsons Satellite Antennas. As an integral member of a matrixed IT support team, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Parsons' solutions.

What You'll Be Doing :
  • Serve as the lead Network Engineer to manage all team tasks.
  • Coordinate with system engineering and dataflow efforts to ensure proper mission operations and minimize downtime.
  • Design solutions, integrate, configure, deploy, test, and provide ongoing maintenance for various network devices, interfaces, and methodologies.
  • Develop potential courses of action and brief them to the customer for decision-making.
  • Execute system hardening through DISA STIG implementation and work within Configuration-Managed Environments.
  • Assist in all aspects of network management, including design, implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing networks.
  • Develop, revise, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintenance on associated systems and network assets.


What Required Skills You'll Bring :
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Current DoD IAT Level II Certification.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science. Additional years of experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • 10+ years of system administration experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading a team.
  • 7+ years of experience working on DoD networks.
  • Ability to track tasks across multiple programs in a constantly changing environment.
  • Extensive experience with hardening network devices (DoD STIG).
  • Extensive experience with Cisco routers and switches.
  • Extensive experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Solid understanding of AAA-related solutions.
  • Demonstrated cyber/IT-related experience with attention to detail, customer service, oral and written communication, and problem-solving skills.


What Desired Skills You Might Bring :
  • Active Palo Alto, Cisco, or cloud networking certifications.
  • Understanding and experience with JunOS.
  • Understanding and experience with cloud networking.
  • Understanding and experience with Kubernetes/Docker networking.

Salary Range: $120,800.00 - $217,400.00
