Essential functions:

  • Assist in the development of logistics support plans (Life Cycle Sustainment Plan - LCSP and System Sustainment Plan - SSP) and logistics considerations in program planning and documentation.
  • Support Configuration Management (CM) changes / updates, review Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), Liaison Action Requests (LAR), and evaluate documentation for impacts on logistics and life-cycle logistics support.
  • Perform logistics focused critical thinking to assist with finding solutions for obsolescence cases and supporting Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) efforts.
  • Perform research on Fleet submarine logistical issues to include cannibalizations, material shortages, repair, and production sources.
  • Support of Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E)/Non-Propulsion Electronics Systems (NPES), subsystems, equipment, and components on in-service fast attack submarines through coordination with the associated In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) and ISEA Managers.
  • Coordinate Integrated Product Team (IPT) and stakeholder meetings to solve submarine platform logistical issues and work towards long term solutions.
  • Interface with a large array of stakeholders, as a representative of the in-service attack submarine program office, communicating needs and tracking tasks to completion. Stakeholders include NAVSUP, DLA, NAVSEA Warfare Centers, Technical Support Activity (TSA), shipyards, vendors, and program offices.
  • Support program office efforts, administer various programs, and perform associated administrative actions, as needed.
  • Support and Execute Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements to sustain and maintain systems within the cognizance of the in-service attack submarine program office.
  • Utilize various logistics information systems and databases to perform essential tasks. These systems include One Touch, FEDMALL, ESRS, Deckplate, CDMD-OA, WEBFLIS, OMIS, and others as needed.


Required education and experience:
  • Active Secret clearance is required.
  • Five years or more of relevant experience.
  • Navy / NAVSEA / submarine sustainment experience.
  • Working knowledge of the Navy supply system basics, process flow, and instructions/guidance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills.
  • High comfort level working with and around all military/organizational levels, clients, customers, suppliers, and visitors.
  • Must be highly reliable and demonstrate personal initiative to operate in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.


Preferred education and experience:
  • Familiarity with DoD and NAVSEA Policy and Instructions for Supply Support / Logistics supporting submarines.
  • Specialized experience with Logistics and Supply Support in a Program Office environment. Knowledge of Program Office responsibilities, processes, and interactivity internally and with stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge and experience in Navy acquisition, Integrated Product Support (IPS), and submarine sustainment, to include regulations, policies, processes, budget management, Information Technology (IT) systems, and techniques for product analysis in support of US Fleet operations.
  • Working knowledge of Navy correspondence and records management requirements, including security classification and handling restrictions; and Navy correspondence.
  • Information Technology resources used to perform logistical functions: One Touch, FEDMALL, ESRS, Deckplate, CDMD-OA, WEBFLIS, and OMIS.


Competencies:
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.).
  • Attention to detail in written and verbal communications.
  • Familiarity with handling restrictions (CUI, NOFORN etc.), sensitive, unclassified and classified documents.
  • Knowledge of Records Management processes.
  • Experience interfacing with customers.

An active DoD Secret security clearance.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

The typical workday is eight hours in length. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, with concurrence from the supervisor. Attendance at prescheduled mandatory meetings is required. Must be available during the core work hours as determined by your contract/location and must account for the required number of hours in a pay period to maintain Full-time status.

Telework:
  • Telework may be allowed up to 40% (2 days per week) depending on customer requirements.


Travel:
  • Ability to travel CONUS; potential to travel OCONUS
  • Travel up to 10% may be required.
