About the Role: ICONMA is searching for a Senior Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) Engineer to play a key role for Our Client. This position involves coordination across all Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and is accountable for sub-system and system level test execution throughout the lifecycle of the program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rapidly prototype, integrate, and test Fixed Wing Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).
- Collaborate with leadership and across disciplines to define test strategies aligning with program objectives.
- Develop knowledge points and test plans to maximize test coverage.
- Coordinate test events and resources, perform hands-on integration and testing, and brief results to leadership.
- Make critical decisions regarding test strategies, venues, and scenarios.
- Work across the Raytheon business to leverage technology and resources needed by the program.
- Ensure test configurations and events are carefully controlled and documented.
- Capture, track, and resolve findings from test events.
- Interact and coordinate with customer test community stakeholders.
- Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
- Bachelor's degree in STEM and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of rapid design, development, integration, and testing of Fixed Wing UAS.
- Minimum of 3 years of in-the-field flight testing experience.
- In-depth knowledge of UAS Systems of Systems, RS-232, UART, USB, TTL, and Ethernet communications.
- Understanding of how weather and environments affect UAS performance.
- Knowledge of internal combustion engines, electric outrunner brushless motors, and turbine engines.
- Experience working in cross-disciplined teams in a technical capacity.
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
- Knowledge of current and next-generation Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and associated technology.
- Advanced Fixed Wing UAS domain experience (e.g., command and control, autonomous systems, flight management systems, surveillance sensors and algorithms, airframes, structures, machine learning).
- Platform-level system trade and integration experience.
- Demonstrated innovation and adaptability in decision-making.
- Experience working effectively in highly collaborative environments.
- In-depth knowledge of US Army military operations and doctrine.
- Advanced degree in Systems Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience piloting Fixed Wing UASs.
Please Note:
- This is a contract to hire position with an initial 12-month assignment that can be extended.
- This position may require travel (up to 35%).
