Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) Engineer

About the Role: ICONMA is searching for a Senior Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) Engineer to play a key role for Our Client. This position involves coordination across all Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and is accountable for sub-system and system level test execution throughout the lifecycle of the program.
Key Responsibilities:

• Rapidly prototype, integrate, and test Fixed Wing Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).
• Collaborate with leadership and across disciplines to define test strategies aligning with program objectives.
• Develop knowledge points and test plans to maximize test coverage.
• Coordinate test events and resources, perform hands-on integration and testing, and brief results to leadership.
• Make critical decisions regarding test strategies, venues, and scenarios.
• Work across the Raytheon business to leverage technology and resources needed by the program.
• Ensure test configurations and events are carefully controlled and documented.
• Capture, track, and resolve findings from test events.
• Interact and coordinate with customer test community stakeholders.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
• Bachelor's degree in STEM and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of rapid design, development, integration, and testing of Fixed Wing UAS.
• Minimum of 3 years of in-the-field flight testing experience.
• In-depth knowledge of UAS Systems of Systems, RS-232, UART, USB, TTL, and Ethernet communications.
• Understanding of how weather and environments affect UAS performance.
• Knowledge of internal combustion engines, electric outrunner brushless motors, and turbine engines.
• Experience working in cross-disciplined teams in a technical capacity.

Desired Skills/Qualifications:

• Knowledge of current and next-generation Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and associated technology.
• Advanced Fixed Wing UAS domain experience (e.g., command and control, autonomous systems, flight management systems, surveillance sensors and algorithms, airframes, structures, machine learning).
• Platform-level system trade and integration experience.
• Demonstrated innovation and adaptability in decision-making.
• Experience working effectively in highly collaborative environments.
• In-depth knowledge of US Army military operations and doctrine.
• Advanced degree in Systems Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience piloting Fixed Wing UASs.

Please Note:

• This is a contract to hire position with an initial 12-month assignment that can be extended.
• This position may require travel (up to 35%).

An ACTIVE U.S. Government Security Clearance is Required to be considered for this role.
